End of the Month Check In

This month did not go nearly as well as I had hoped. Our washing machine died a week ago and with no savings as of yet I had to pull out the old Best Buy card and get a new one. I know I could have a. taken the clothes to a laundromat or b. used my parents washer and dryer until I had a chance to save the cash for a new one. But I honestly do not have enough time in my week to do the amount of laundry that is created in this house at the laundromat and I have been using my parents since last Saturday and will continue doing so until next Saturday when the darn thing finally gets delivered and I'm already tired of imposing on them.
    I also had a trip preplanned for the middle of this month to fly out and visit a friend out of state and spent money that could have gone elsewhere on my mini vacation - the only positive to that is I did not add any to my debt in order to finance the trip. All costs were paid in cash.
     If those expenses hadn't been enough my brakes all the sudden starting grinding on Thursday which means $$$- I'm taking the car into a friends shop - hopefully Tuesday - if this ridiculous New England winter weather cooperates.I do actually have a little cash set aside so as long as the bill doesn't top $500 or so I should be ok at the mechanics.
    That all being said I'm hopeful that February will be better than January was. My balances as of today are as follows:
